Positive Pay

Positive Pay is an online tool that monitors the daily activity on your business accounts and alerts you if there are fraudulent or misencoded  items. A daily report provides important transaction information so you can deal with incorrect items before they cause damage.

With Positive Pay, Frontier Bank will help your business reduce check fraud and check error. The process is simple:

1. You provide us a file with check numbers, dollar amounts, and dates of issue.
2. We match your information against the checks presented each day to verify that:
   • The check number was issued.
   • It clears for the correct amount.
   • It isn’t a duplicate presentment.
3. An Exception Report will be available online for your viewing every morning by 9:00 AM.
4. Dishonored checks are returned to the bank of first deposit to protect you from loss of funds.
