Once you’ve made the decision to open a Frontier Bank account, let us help you make the switch. Follow the checklist below to make sure you’ve covered all the bases.

Set Up Your New Account

• Open a new checking account at Frontier Bank.
• Order checks and deposit slips.
• Set up Online Banking.
• Apply for a Visa® credit card. 

Create a Checklist of Automatic Debits and Credits

• Make a list of all automatic debits and credits for your old account.
• Download “Debit and Credit Checklist” [pdf]

Transfer All Automatic Debits and Credits to Your Frontier Bank Account

For Automatic Debits (Charges)

• Send a dated and signed letter to anyone who is currently processing an automatic charge (debit) to your “old” account.
• Along with the letter, provide a voided check (or a copy of a voided check) from your new Frontier Bank checking account.
• Download “Request to Change Automatic Withdrawal” Letter [pdf]

For Direct Deposit

• Call the company directly to determine their requirements.
• If required, send a dated and signed letter.
• Download “Request to Change Automatic Deposit” Letter [pdf]
• Provide a voided check (or a copy of a voided check) from your new Frontier Bank checking account.

Close Your Old Account

• After verifying that all automatic payments and deposits are now posting to your new Frontier Bank account and that all outstanding checks have cleared on the old account, send a letter to the old bank requesting that the account be closed.
