A guide to how we use and protect our customer information

Your privacy is protected at Frontier Bank.

Protecting your privacy is important to Frontier Bank and our employees. It is important that you understand what information we collect and how we use it.

What Information We Collect

We collect information from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other loan and account forms
  • Information about your transactions with us or others, and
  • Information we receive from third parties such as credit bureaus.

This information is considered 'Non-public personal information' and includes information regarding your account balance, payment history, and overdraft history.

What Information We Disclose

We do not disclose any non-public personal information about our customers, including former customers, to anyone, except as permitted by law.

As permitted by law, we may disclose all of the information we collect, as described in the above bullet points, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

Customer Information Security Procedures

In addition to keeping your information private, we also take steps to safeguard customer information. This is done by restricting access to your personal account information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. Frontier Bank maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your information.

Website Privacy Information

In addition to the information that we use, collect and retain during our normal business transactions, we also have a policy on the type of information gathered at our website.

If you visit our site to read or download information from our web pages, then we do collect and store information about the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (AOL or Compuserve.com), the date as well as the time you accessed our site, and the Internet address of the website from which you linked to us. We collect this information for internal review purposes only. This information enables us to tell which areas of the site are of the most interest to our users, and when peak usage occurs.

When you visit our website, a 'cookie' is attached to the computer accessing the system. 'Cookies' are bits of electronic information that a website can transfer to visitor's hard drive to help tailor and keep records of the visit to the site. Cookies allow website operators to better customize visits to the site to the individuals preferences. The use of cookies is standard on the Internet and many websites use them. Although most web browsers automatically accept cookies, you can usually change your browser to prevent or notify you whenever you are sent a cookie. Frontier Bank uses cookies to validate online banking usage. These expire upon logout or after 15 minutes of inactivity.

But in order to process certain types of e-mail requests, you may be asked for specific information about yourself in order to process the request or facilitate a decision. In addition, if you choose to contact us via e-mail, please keep in mind that your e-mail address and any other information your e-mail header shows about you, such as your organization or name, will be revealed to us in the e-mail. A: No. Frontier Bank will not sell or trade information to telemarketers.

Q: Are there any outside companies you do share information with?

A: Yes. We use outside vendors to print coupon books and checks, process your account transactions and to help us offer products and services to fit your financial needs. Any company we work with and the information shared is subject to a strict confidentiality agreement.
